I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, perfectionism, interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, and emotion dysregulation.
I often work with adult children of immigrants and people of color, as well as professionals navigating high-stress work environments.
-
As a daughter of Muslim immigrants from Yemen and South Africa, I bring lived experience and a culturally responsive perspective to my work with clients from immigrant and first-generation backgrounds.
I’m also a career changer and have experience across a variety of work environments, which helps me understand the unique pressures my clients face.
-
I practice full-time with the Counseling Center Group, a group practice focused on evidence-based care.
I also work part-time at the University Settlement Consultation Center, a community mental health clinic on the Lower East Side.
-
I hold an MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, where I graduated with honors in Clinical Practice.
I hold a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
I have received intensive training in DBT from Behavioral Tech and continuing education in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) from NOCD Academy.
